Surrogacy questions
Since I started my journey as a surrogate I get quite a few questions from people about it. I thought I would post of few of them.
1. Did you already know the parents of the baby?
No I didn't but we have become great friends over the last 10 months. My couple lives down in California with two of there own children.
2. Are you related to the baby?
No I am not. We did IVF which means the transferred two embryos into me. The embryo was from my couple, the only thing I share is blood.
3. Are you sure you won't want to keep it?
That is a honest no. I have three of my own and do not want anymore. I am more then happy to help someone else out and be pregnant for them. I have my hands full with three as it is. Yes it will be sad to see him go, but I know I have helped someone else out who isn't able to have there own.
4. Will you do it again?
I been thinking about that and I probably will. It has been a neat experience for me and since I have pretty easy pregnancy this is my gift to someone else who can't.
5. What does your husband think of this?
He is behind me 100%.
6. How did you hear about this?
I was watching tv one night and there was a show on Discovery Health about a surrogate. I did some research and hooked up with a great agency who cares a lot about there surrogates.
7. What do your kids think?
Well the youngest one really doesn't know what is going on. She just likes to jump on my belly and hit it. My two older children know that this baby isn't ours and it will be going home with my couple.

We flew back to Denver CO and drove to Nebraska to see my family which I haven't seen in 11 years. The kids had a great time with there grandparents and second cousins. We are now home and wore out and ready for bed.

So this weekend was pretty interesting for our family. Cara flew up from California to come meet the rest of the family. She is the mother of the little guy who keeps beating me up these days. Only two more months to go and they will be going home with there baby. I can't believe how fast things have gone it seemed to take forever and now it is speeding right along.
